The two-day course offers hands-on experience in the isolation, maintenance, and operation of gas transmission systems. Training is provided in a controlled environment, avoiding operational disruptions. Aimed at managers, engineers and technicians, the course focuses on the standards and regulations governing pressure control activities, as well as the operating principles of various regulators and control configurations utilised across all pressure ranges. This course combines both classroom-based teaching and practical tuition.

This course, delivered over 12 weeks within an 18-24 month period, will provide learners with an understanding of the most common equipment and typical arrangements they will encounter in the field. Our students receive a blend of theoretical and practical training, as well as in-the-moment assessment. This style of education means that our students have first hand experience of the equipment they will work on in real life whilst at the same time receiving the underpinning theory.
